BIO: One of the most likeable youngsters in the FWA, Derice Coffie brings a smile to fans' faces whenever he competes. The young man from the Caribbean first showed his fighting spirit in a battle royal prior to Carpe Diem where he courageously challenged the monstrous Johnny Moss. Having been impressed with his efforts on that night, FWA management granted the fun-loving competitor a chance to qualify for the Flyweight Title Round Robin Tournament the following month but Coffie came up just short against his friend El Ligero.
Since the start of 2010 Coffie has found himself wrestling against two of the other stars who qualified for that tournament. First, at British Uproar, he fought in a bizarre contest against Rockstar Spud and suffered a personal tragedy when his lucky egg was smashed by his heartless opponent. Then, at Battle Lines, he was pinned in a tag team match by RJ Singh.
Still without a win in the new FWA, it seems as though Coffie is just a step or two away from making the breakthrough and becoming a successful part of the flyweight division. Of course, sometimes wrestlers can get stuck at this point for their entire careers, so perhaps this young Jamaican may have to eventually stop playing the clown if he is going to ensure that his promising career lives up to its potential.
