BritWres-Fest - A Huge Success!

BritWres-Fest has been tagged as a great success for the continuing mission of bringing British Wrestling back to a mainstream audience as both days hand standing room only available.


The 21st and 22nd of February 2011 are two dates that will go down in the British Wrestling history books after the a winning partnership came together with the mission of showing what British wrestling was capable of by putting on a FREE entry event at one of London's top night clubs. Jamie Hadley, backed by Ideastap (www.ideastap.com) brought together the British Wrestling Council (www.britishwrestlingcouncil.org), the Frontier Wrestling Alliance (www.fwauk.com) and Debut London (www.debutlondon.com) to present the huge two day event to a new audience.

"The event was a great success! We definitely made some new, very vocal fans of British wrestling over the last two days." FWA Managing Director Tony Simpson said today.

"Using the great networking opportunities available over the past two days, these events have already opened up yet more doors for the FWA 2011 Season, which we will be working on in the weeks ahead."

"All here at the FWA would like to thank everyone involved in helping put the event together, especially Jamie Hadley who made what once seemed an impossible dream, a reality."

BritWres-Fest Day 2 (22/2)

RJ Singh defeated Nick Riley and The Lion Kid in a triple threat match.
Axl Rage and Xander Cooper beat Zack "Diamond" Gibson and Shane Spiral.
Sha Samuels defeated Joel Redman via disqualification when Iestyn Rees interfered.
Jonny Storm pinned Mark Haskins.
Leroy Kincaide and Sha Samuels defeated The Agenda (Joel Redman and Iestyn Rees) in an impromptu tag match.

BritWres-Fest Day 1 (21/2)

Mark Haskins pinned The Lion Kid.
The Agenda (Iestyn Rees and Joel Redman) defeated The Resistance (Sha Samuels and Nick Riley).
El Ligero beat RJ Singh and Nathan Cruz in a triple threat match.
Xander Cooper won a ladder match against Axl Rage and Shane Spiral to win the 2011 Scarlo Scholarship.
The Ascension defeated Zack "Diamond" Gibson in an exhibition match to retain the FWA World Heavyweight and XWA British Heavyweight Titles.
Leroy Kincaide defeated Stixx.

On Saturday 31st March & Sunday 1st April, the FWA returned to the Birmingham NEC with the first ever Birmingham MCM Expo! FWA has always strived to bring Europe's top professional wrestling to British fans, and this weekend was no exception! However, in the spirit of BritWres-Fest which took place the evening of 1st April, the FWA agreed to bring some of the counties top promotions to host top guest matches to bring Britain's best wrestling, to Europe's biggest wrestling stage, the FWA!

SATURDAY RESULTS
Max Angelous beat Jonny Storm by disqualification and therefore Jonny Storm remains the FWA Flyweight Champion. 

Nathan Cruz beat Matt Myers after a One Night Stand in an NGW guest match.

Zack Nitro & Max Angelous beat Alex Kaos and Jonny Lavelle in a House of Pain Wrestling guest match.

SUNDAY MATCHES
Max Angelous beat Stixx in a grudge match brought to you by the FWA.

Dara Diablo beat The Punk Prodigy in an NGW guest match.

Andy Boy Simmonz beat Lee Hunter in an IPW:UK guest match.

Nikki Storm beat Pollyanna in a Pro Wrestling Eve guest match.
